You'll collaborate closely with Agile product teams, IT, and cybersecurity professionals to drive automation and streamline secure software deployments.

We are seeking a highly skilled CI/CD DevSecOps Engineer to join a team within a mission-critical national defense program. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain standardized Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support software releases across classified environments. You'll collaborate closely with Agile product teams, IT, and cybersecurity professionals to drive automation and streamline secure software deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines across multiple software product teams and development sites.
- Collaborate with Cyber and Platform teams to ensure all tools and pipelines meet evolving security standards and compliance requirements.
- Implement and manage system security using Linux administration, STIGs, SELinux, and MFA solutions.
- Leverage tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, and Confluence to support Agile workflows.
- Work with technologies like Ansible, OpenShift, OpenStack, and container orchestration platforms.
- Provide regular updates, troubleshoot issues, and propose continuous improvements to DevSecOps practices.
- Support backup/recovery strategies, repo management, and configuration automation.
- Maintain compliance with classified development standards and contribute to a secure DevSecOps culture.
Required Qualifications:
- An active security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Linux system administration and secure systems implementation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks in secure, classified environments.
- Working knowledge of shell scripting and Ansible playbook development.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and Agile development methodologies.
- Active Security+ (IAT Level II) or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with OpenStack, OpenShift, VMware ESXi, Active Directory, QAS/VAS.
- Knowledge of PaaS/SaaS architectures and container technologies.
- Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and RMF requirements.
- Previous experience with secure automation and identity integration (e.g., ADFS, IPA).
- Exposure to Windows system administration in mixed-platform environments.
Additional Information:
- Infrequent travel may be required between Huntsville and Colorado development sites.
