Vallen is looking for an experienced Digital & Innovation Manager to join the Digital team. We are seeking a skilled Digital leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital solution landscape. The Digital & Innovation Manager is responsible for leading Vallen's digital transformation efforts, including the development, implementation, and performance of various owned digital programs to deliver an impressionable customer experience.

Vallen is looking for an experienced Digital & Innovation Manager to join the Digital team. We are seeking a skilled Digital leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital solution landscape. The Digital & Innovation Manager is responsible for leading Vallen's digital transformation efforts, including the development, implementation, and performance of various owned digital programs to deliver an impressionable customer experience.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth by understanding customer journeys across each of our offered digital solutions, improving experiences, and ensuring smooth conversions to support digital's strategic key performance indicators
- Oversee marketing technology tools by managing the development, planning, and execution of digital & innovation initiatives (Kontent.ai & Algolia).
- Evolve Digital Roadmap: Oversee the evolution of Vallen's digital roadmap (public websites, customer portals, marketing automation, online tools, and support technology) to support the overall digital strategy for all industrial and integrated supply customer segments, collaborating with internal and external partners to grow and optimize digital channels.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in developing, implementing, and evaluating digital solutions projects, including ecommerce, EDI, digital tools and applications.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the Digital team through effective performance management, daily mentorship, and by ensuring a continuum of skill development to achieve success.
- Develop Business Cases: Create business cases for required improvements and digital opportunities to garner organizational support for investment.
- A/B Testing and Personalization: Build A/B tests and personalized experiences in collaboration with digital analytics, marketing, UX, content writers, and audience managers to enhance customer experience, improve relevancy, and increase digital sales.
- Identify Technology Gaps: Continuously identify technology gaps and requirements, working collaboratively with information services, customer experience, and operations to implement relevant technologies, potentially using a sprint project management methodology.
- Project Management: Lead all developments, improvements, and updates to Vallen's digital assets, including objectives, scoping, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and evaluation.
- Competitive Analysis: Maintain an understanding of competitors' digital landscapes.
- Work collaboratively with other members of Marketing, MDM, Supply chain, logistics and other departments to accomplish common goals and projects.
- Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Economics, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related programs of study/experience will be considered
- Digital transformation or relevant experience with a min of 7 years' experience
- ~ 7+ years of e-commerce & digital solution with a proven track record of managing complex, multi-phase, potentially competing demanding projects.
- Strong technical working knowledge of relevant and new technology, ecommerce, and digital tools.
- Proven experience with utilizing formal project management methodology on technical digital projects
- Experience with digital requirements, optimization, testing, and quality assurance.
