As the Digital Experience Director at Milestone, you oversee and enhance all aspects of Milestone Church's digital presence. Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Digital Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with Milestone Church's mission and vision.
- Stay updated with the latest digital trends and technologies to continually improve our digital presence.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance digital communication and interaction with church members and visitors.
- Website Management
- Oversee the design, content, and functionality of the church website to ensure it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure their content is accurately represented and regularly updated.
- Mobile App Development and Management
- Lead the development and maintenance of the church's mobile app, ensuring it provides valuable resources and a seamless user experience.
- Integrate the app with other digital platforms to enhance connectivity and engagement.
- Online Services
- Collaborate closely with a multifaceted team to ensure our broadcast service is streamed seamlessly to our online audience.
- Oversee online team that captures and edits segments, provides on-set production support, and streams online services.
- Develop strategies to align online services with Milestone's mission and top priorities.
- Team Leadership
- Build and maintain a high-performing team.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new team members.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance regularly.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize team tasks and projects.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure that the team's work meets quality standards.
- Implement quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Budgeting & Reporting
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget for the Digital Experience Department.
- Monitor and record actual expenses within the allocated budget each month.
- Facilitate a monthly budget report with direct supervisor each month.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team.
- Utilize analytics tools to track and report on the performance of digital platforms and campaigns.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data to inform decision-making and improve digital engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in digital strategy, website management, app development, and online engagement.
- Ability to recruit, train, and build teams.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools to measure and optimize digital performance.
- Ability to work in a team environment, interacting with other departments to obtain information needed to complete tasks.
- Ability to deal with pivots, delays, and unexpected events.
- Ability to write effective short correspondence, communicate by e-mail, and comfortable communicating in-person or by phone with internal and external parties to resolve issues.
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Related work experience of 5+ years.
- A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
