Arcadis Canada Mobility's Business Advisory and Shared Services discipline is searching for an Digital Automation Manager to join its growing team. The Manager will have direct reports and will be facilitating the BIM production team liaising with various discipline groups that represent the Mobility group. In addition, the Manager will be part of a national network of office-focused BIM & Digital leaders governed by Canada Mobility BIM Lead. This Manager would be part of an overall mission focusing on cross-sector synergy empowering global work-sharing, standardization and optimization, as well as shepherding cross-sector collaboration and data harnessing throughout a project's lifecycle.

Role accountabilities:

This person will lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development. You will liaise with the project team, BIM Manager and Project Manager to review all models/drawings for the project and make any necessary amendments. You will review detailed work plans to ensure work is successfully completed within budget and deadlines. The successful candidate with apply BIM processes and able to establish and implement a BIM Execution Plan (objectives, requirements and conditions) and a delivery strategy in conjunction with a client and delivery team.

You will manage the performance of a small team of employees to ensure timely delivery and effective utilization of resources and guide project teams through the Information Management and BIM process and provide ad hoc assistance to the wider practice when required. Additionally you will oversee an agreed scope of work and the operational workload of a project team including sub-contractors, ensuring work is allocated appropriately and resources are fully utilized.
  • Lead the delivery of projects ensuring client satisfaction, effective project management and good communication and collaboration between Arcadis colleagues,
  • Engage with the client and all key stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of project objectives and to establish protocols for working together,
  • Select, lead and develop a project team with the necessary skills to deliver the project, ensure they understand and are engaged with the project strategy, brief and client requirements, and manage the delivery of project objectives,
  • Develop and propose potential solutions, including solutions that fall outside the standard codes where appropriate, to meet or exceed client expectations,
  • Guide clients through the technical decision making process and provide alternative solutions if there are changes to project parameters,
  • Develop strong, partnering relationships with senior client personnel in order to identify and resolve issues, to identify business opportunities and to influence their decision making,
  • Build strong working relationships with other teams and technical disciplines, Arcadis offices and external organizations to foster cooperation and to identify cross-sell and trade-up opportunities,
  • Provide input into specific technical aspects of individual bids to support the production of high quality winning bids,
  • Keep up to date with developments in the industry sector and with technical and legislative developments and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile at an Area level (e.g. conference presentations, publications and participation in technical committees)
  • Create and/or comment upon BIM Strategies, BIM Execution Plans, Employer Information Requirements and Implementation Plans to deliver outputs,
  • Establish and manage a Common Data Environment,
  • Develop and implement the Project and Asset Information Plans,
  • Foster an environment of Collaborative Working within project teams; monitor and audit Information Exchanges throughout project,
  • Develop and document information strategies with client to deliver the requisite asset information at project completion,
  • Capture key project metrics for knowledge management and benchmarking purposes

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 15 or more years' relevant experience including leadership of the development and implementation of engineering solutions
  • Experience in ISO 19650 protocols and their application on large projects
  • Effective project management, client relationship management, commercial skills and management of technical aspects of BIM production for major projects
  • Advanced capability in CDE setup and management
  • Experience in managing people and also virtual teams
  • Have expertise to define Information Management outcomes
  • Recognized expert in the Digital discipline with well-established internal network,
  • Experience in managing business relationships at senior management level

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $178,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
