PRIMARY FUNCTION :

The Director of Digital Strategy and User Experience will drive user-centered, digital strategies to improve physical and virtual end-to-end experiences. This leader will be a key enabler of Jefferson's growth and experience goals through the development of timely and personalized experiences that bridge digital and physical environments, create opportunities for engagement, and maintain connectedness throughout the continuum of the consumer experience.

This role will also help co-create actionable, strategic narratives that communicate how digital technology will deliver business and consumer value to achieve Jefferson's strategic goals. As part of the IS&T - Digital Technologies group, this leader will consult and collaborate with a cross-section of divisions, departments, and external partners to facilitate and guide cross-functional teams in digital strategy to formulate and develop experiences from strategy to digital prototypes.

The candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, cross-disciplinary project leadership, a proactive work style, and must be comfortable navigating ambiguous environments. This role will lead a diverse and creative team of product managers and user-experience experts who ensure that the framing, problem definition, and approach of Jefferson's consumer-facing digital health experiences align with consumer needs, business objectives, and internal efforts. This team will help discover, shape, and validate digital prototypes and champion a culture of innovation and experiences that delight consumers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Strategically and collaboratively set the direction for digital solutions that put patients and other consumer audiences at the center while supporting system-wide initiatives including but not limited to care delivery, health equity, and health engagement
  • Collaborate with business and operational teams to identify business objectives and goals, operational challenges, and digital opportunities
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Experience, IS&T, and internal experience design and development teams to understand key barriers for consumers
  • Distill industry trends and opportunities into a focused set of themes that will help Jefferson mature consumer's experiences over time
  • Assess competitive and best-in-class landscape to determine digital positioning and approach
  • Guide experience design sessions to map current state consumer experience and related technology and operations dependencies
  • Support the work to visualize the future state experience and high-level roadmap development in digital
  • Help drive the strategic experimentation of digital products/services prototypes, including helping to shape, define and prioritize innovation objectives and facilitate idea generation by identifying emerging trends and opportunities
  • Create final strategy narratives and documents that pull various components into a coherent, sensible, and complete view of the approach

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Directs project teams and manages technical direction across technical solutions and IT systems.
  • Directs the operation of multiple units and departments by identifying the customer and operational needs and ensuring products and services meet customer requirements and expectations while aligning with organizational strategies.
  • Demonstrates continuous learning and maintains a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning resource plans with business objectives and ensuring performance management guidelines and expectations drive business objectives and results.
  • Assesses the costs, benefits, ROI, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of proposed solutions.
  • Oversees and takes accountability for the solution design process by ensuring solutions are aligned with business strategies, operational workflow, established budgets, and vendor service level agreements.
  • Communicates lessons learned and feedback to consulting teams, senior leadership, and the Jefferson community.
  • Develops the functional model for managing capacity and demand for IT Consultant resources across business functions.
  • Oversees budgets and capital planning across departments and annual business cycle levels.


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's Degree in IT, business, or related IT field is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Three years of experience working in management level required. Health care field preferred
