Job Description
The Finance Director is responsible for all finance activities for the Countermeasure and Electromagnetic Attack Solutions(CEMA) business area in BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) sector. This position reports to the ES VP of Finance with dotted line reporting to the CEMAVP/GM, and leads the Finance team that supports CEMA. The Director will also be part of the CEMA leadership team and the Finance leadership team, and will be based in Merrimack, NH.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of fiduciary responsibilities and is a full business partner to the CEMA business area. The position provides leadership and guidance in areas of program execution, financial forecasting and reporting, investment recommendations, compliance, and internal controls. This position will also play a key role in assisting the VP/GM and Deputy VP/GM with strategic planning and organizational optimization in a very dynamic environment.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- As a trusted business advisor to the VP/GM and CEMA leadership team, the role will deliver a broad range of finance and business services in support of new business capture, contract execution, investment & expense management, financial reporting and analysis and compliance and controls.
- Partner with the program teams to influence the development of proposals to ensure program execution risks and opportunities are identified and mitigated or secured.
- Anticipate needs and proactively formulate solutions that address and influence the resolution of business issues encountered during the execution of captures and programs of all types and complexity.
- Maintain a strong, compliant financial control environment through process review and data analysis. Ensure finance within CEMA operates in compliance with all established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the needs of all internal and external customers are met, and that the goals and objectives of the company, business area and product line are fully supported and achieved.
- Lead a team of finance personnel located in multiple locations, including the recruitment, retention, training, development and optimization of a workforce that can successfully deliver and adapt to the evolving needs of the product line and dynamic business environment in which it competes, and to achieve the strategic and annual performance objectives of the organization.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or Masters' Degree and equivalent experience.
- Experience in leading, developing, recruiting and retaining high-functioning, diverse teams.
- Experience in strategic proposal development, navigating and influencing successful outcomes on complex business issues, development & review of financial forecasting and demonstrated understanding of financial compliance and controls.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a changing environment
- Ability to partner with all functions
- Secret Clearance - or at minimum, ability to quickly obtain it shortly after starting in role.
- DoD Contracting experience
