En tant que Directeur du Centre de Distribution, vous serez responsable du fonctionnement efficace du service d'expdition en plus de la zone d'entreposage dans un environnement de fabrication alimentaire au rythme rapide (juste temps).

Vos rles et responsabilits consisteront notamment :

• Responsable de la gestion du dpartement du Centre de Distribution (Expdition) qui se compose initialement de superviseurs, d'expditeurs (oprateurs de chariots lvateurs)
• S'assurer que les principes de scurit et de salubrit des aliments sont suivis et respects
• Entretenir d'excellentes relations de travail et un travail d'quipe avec les services internes, les clients externes et les fournisseurs
• Mettre jour l'quipe sur les problmes quotidiens ; assurer la sant, la scurit et la propret de l'environnement de travail
• Diriger, encadrer et former le personnel

Exigences et Profil recherch :

• Diplme en commerce, administration, logistique ou discipline connexe de prfrence
• Minimum 5 ans d'exprience de chef d'entrept dans un environnement de fabrication
• Exprience avec les systmes de gestion d'entrept
• Solides comptences en leadership avec un tat d'esprit ax sur les rsultats
• Capacit d'influence et d'initiative. Fort sens de l'urgence et solides comptences en ngociation
• Bonne comprhension de l'expdition, de l'entreposage, des oprations et du transport
• Excellentes comptences informatiques (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellentes comptences en communication, tant l'oral qu' l'crit en franais (anglais, un atout)
• Comptences organisationnelles avec une grande attention aux dtails
• Esprit d'quipe avec de solides comptences en rsolution de problmes
• Approche axe sur les rsultats avec d'excellentes comptences en planification et en organisation
• Comprend et est capable de former le personnel dans tous les domaines de l'expdition et de la rception, de l'entreposage scuritaire des stocks ; oprations de chariot lvateur ; gestion de l'inventaire
• Capacit travailler selon des horaires flexibles dans un environnement au rythme rapide
• Formation et connaissances en sant et scurit au travail
• Une exprience de travail dans l'industrie de l'emballage alimentaire / de consommation est fortement prfre

Role overview :

As Distribution Center Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the shipping department in addition to the warehousing area in a fast-paced (just-in-time) food-manufacturing environment.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and team work among Team Members
• Responsible for the management of the Distribution Center (Shipping) department which consists of Supervisors, Shippers (Forklift Operators)
• Ensure food safety and sanitation principles are followed and respected
• Maintain excellent working relationships and teamwork with internal departments, external customers and suppliers
• Update team on daily issues; ensure health, safety and cleanliness of work environment; fosters an environment of continuous improvement
• Lead, coach and train Team Members
• Conduct pre-shift huddles and provides feedback for Team Members
• Ensures that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing Company standards and following up on regular inspections
• Assists planning team with managing inventory level
• Provides orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient work force
• Combines all raw materials in proper sequence and ensure that each ingredient has been added and processed as outlined in the Batch Sheet
• Performs other duties as requested

Requirements and profile :

• Degree in business, administration, logistics or related discipline preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a warehouse manager in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with warehouse management systems
• Strong leadership skills with a results-oriented mindset
• Ability to influence and take initiative.
• Strong sense of urgency and negotiation skills
• Good understanding of shipping, warehousing, operations and transportation
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French (English an asset)
• Competencies organization with great attention to detail
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Approach focused on results with excellent skills in planning and organization
• Understands and is able to train staff in all areas of shipping and receiving, safe storage of inventory; forklift operations; inventory management
• Capacity to work according to flexible schedules in a fast-paced environment
• Training and knowledge health and safety work
• Experience working in the food/consumer packaging industry strongly preferred
