I. Rsum du poste

Diriger l'laboration des plans stratgiques du service d'ingnierie, conformment aux plans stratgiques tablis de l'entreprise, et veiller leur bonne excution.

Lieu - Ste Sophie

Il s'agit d'un poste hybride : Ce poste comporte environ 20 % de dplacements sur des sites travers le Canada et est considr comme un poste hybride. Les jours de travail partir du bureau/site sont les lundi, mardi, mercredi et jeudi. Les vendredis sont des jours de travail domicile.

II. Fonctions et responsabilits essentielles
Pour russir accomplir ce travail, le candidat doit tre en mesure d'excuter chaque tche essentielle de manire satisfaisante. D'autres tches mineures peuvent lui tre assignes :
  • Diriger et coordonner les activits du service d'ingnierie, y compris la supervision et la formation du personnel.
  • laborer et recommander des politiques et des procdures d'ingnierie de l'entreprise cohrentes avec les objectifs de l'entreprise. Cela inclut, sans s'y limiter, les nouvelles procdures d'essai, la rsolution de problmes et la formation du personnel.
  • Grer les actifs du service d'ingnierie, y compris le matriel et les logiciels de conception assiste par ordinateur, ainsi que tout autre programme ou systme connexe au sein du service.
  • Assumer la responsabilit technique de la planification, de l'organisation et de la coordination des procdures d'essai sur les composants et les units de conception actuelle et future.
  • Communiquer avec le personnel de l'entreprise sur les projets, les priorits, les calendriers et les budgets, le cas chant.
  • Approuver les spcifications techniques relatives aux dessins et la documentation. Coordonner le transfert de toutes les informations techniques et graphiques vers d'autres services et vers des sources extrieures.
  • Mener des enqutes techniques indpendantes faisant appel divers principes d'ingnierie, coordonner les activits ncessaires pour rsoudre les problmes de qualit et de fonctionnement. Des contacts avec les clients et/ou les fournisseurs peuvent tre occasionnellement ncessaires.
  • Dvelopper les objectifs court et long terme du service d'ingnierie.

Job Summary

Directs the development of the engineering department's strategic plans consistent with established corporate strategic plans and ensures their proper execution.

Location - Ste Sophie

This is a Hybrid role: This role will have approx. 20% travel to sites across Canada and is considered a Hybrid role. Work from office/site days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Fridays are work from home days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates engineering department activities including the supervision and training of personnel.
  • Develops and recommends corporate engineering policies and procedures consistent with company objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, new testing procedures, problem solving, and training of personnel.
  • Manages engineering department's assets including the Computer Aided Design hardware and software, and any of the other related programs or systems within the department.
  • Maintains technical responsibility for planning, organizing and coordinating test procedures on current and future design components and units.
  • Communicates with company personnel on projects, priorities, timetables and budgets as required.
  • Approves related technical specifications on drawings and literature. Coordinates the transfer of all technical information and graphics to other departments and to outside sources.
  • Carries out independent technical investigations involving a variety of engineering principles, coordinates activities required to resolve quality and functional issues. Customer and/or vendor contact may be occasionally required.
  • Develops short term and long-term goals of the engineering department

Direct supervision of 5 employees.

Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Engineering Required
  • No experience Ten (10) years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement) Required
