The Director | Construction at ASG is responsible for the supervision of managers and the business oversight of an assigned region or discipline. This position will serve as a primary Point of Contact (POC) for clients, facilitating customer communication during the lifecycle of projects and other day-to-day activities of the organization, and ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.

Pay Scale: $110,000-$130,000

What you'll do: (Including, but not limited to):
  • Find and bring on contractors required to do the job
  • Ensure that all service delivery milestones are met and drive adherence to the prescribed schedule by working with Operations
  • Communicate with the Customer at critical milestones in the Service Delivery cycle, make sure that the Customer knows the status of their order, what will happen next by hosting updates as needed, and providing required reports to the client
  • Perform customer outreach including collecting existing inventory, services, and technologies they currently utilize; review new available technologies and determine best solution based on customer requirements
  • Assist in writing content for customer transition plans and related documents to identify their specific network requirements; advise agencies on options as well as transition planning activities
  • Use working knowledge of telecommunications transition projects to work with the Operations Managers to define business requirements
  • Update spreadsheets and databases as required to maintain customer and vendor SPOC, email, phone number, and site information
  • Track QA/QC review provided by operations and construction teams
  • Identify and solve problems that could prevent service dates from being met


What you'll need:

General
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the discipline required
  • 5+ years of related experience in the telecom industry with a general understanding of products/standards
  • PMP is a plus
  • Requires in dept knowledge of telecommunications, Outside Plant, Construction, Fiber Restoration, and Splicing/testing


Technical

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Job Type: Full-Time - Salary (Exempt)

Your Working Environment:
  • General office environment and field working conditions to oversee project progress. Travel daily to job sites within a local geographic area (90%). On occasion, for special projects, or to attend company approved meetings, travel outside the normal area will be required (10%). The typical work schedule is based on the client's needs, including various time zones covering the United States.
  • May require travel and some weekends.
  • Transportation to out-of-town jobsites provided.
