The role is responsible for managing a team of two direct reports and oversees an outsourced team of approximately 20 individuals indirectly. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the entire Accounts Payable function across Transformco for both direct and indirect purchases, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Leads daily cash call with the Cash Management team and is responsible for delivering accurate and relevant inputs to the company's cashflow
- Develops, implements, and maintains effective internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies; Conducts regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures
- Leads the evaluation and implementation of best practices for the new NetSuite ERP system, making strategic decisions to optimize Accounts Payable processes and enhance overall system efficiency
- Identifies and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in Accounts Payable and related functions by leveraging technology and automation to streamline operations and reduce manual workloads
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including; Treasury, Procurement, Legal, HR, FP&A and third-party service providers to ensure accounts payable transactions are recorded timely and accurately
- Manages inquiries from and communication with external vendors and internal business partners related to Accounts Payable
- Performs the calendar year 1099 tax reporting for all TransformCo entities
- Oversees and manages the preparation and review of all journal entries for the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Supports special projects and business initiatives as needed
- Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates
- Bachelors Degree
- Over 10 years of related experience
- Up to 25% travel
- 18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience with a minimum of 5 years of Management experience across
- diverse sectors (technology, services, retail, manufacturing, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral with all levels and functions within the organization and external contributors including, auditors, consultants, etc,
- Track record of leading and coaching teams (~up to 15-20 headcount)
- Track record of partnering effectively with different levels of management (Operations, Divisional Finance)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Analytical mindset and a track record of making data-driven decisions
- High degree of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices
- Must have Netsuite ERP experience
