Position Summary:
The Director of Behavioral Health is the lead position within the Department and is responsible for all aspects of organizational evaluation, planning and management. The Director is also responsible for the staff recruitment, retention and ongoing staff development. Product line development, fiscal oversight and departmental positioning within the community are also key aspects of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operation for all aspects of the behavioral health continuum of care.
- Maintains clear and open communication with collaborating individuals and entities to foster a culture of trust and reciprocity within the organization.
- Provides the necessary core support staff to enable the departments and units to run efficiently.
- Demonstrates unwavering commitment to program quality and operational ethics.
- Functions as the primary interface with psychiatrists, psychiatric APRNs, and interfacing physicians.
- Maintains effective relationships with external organizations that partner and interface with the department.
- Establishes administrative policies and procedures and oversees all regulatory activities.
- Plans, recommends and operates within the annual budget as approved by the Board of Directors.
- Designs, develops and implements business initiatives and evaluates effectiveness.
- Designs, develops and implements cost containment measures that assure long-term product line viability.
- Contributes to the long-range positioning strategy of the organization.
- Enhances and promotes client and patient satisfaction in all departmental areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience
- Behavioral health and leadership/management experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree is highly desired
- Current IL RN License
