Who we are looking for:

The Director, Business Development is responsible for driving, planning, and management of business development efforts for both new and existing healthcare clients. You will lead growth efforts for new healthcare clients and organic growth for existing clients. You will be responsible for shaping business development efforts in North America, framing opportunities and solutions that feature the agency's integrated set of services, and collaborating with other WPP agencies.

What you'll do:
  • Kickoff, develop, and execute strategic and creative RFP responses, highlighting VML and VML Health's integrated offering.
  • Develop growth plans with leadership, identifying targets for new clients and opportunities for organic growth with existing clients.
  • Track, monitor, and report business development opportunities and performance.
  • Collaborate with new business teams across VML and WPP, working in close partnership to drive additional opportunities for VML Health.
  • Conceptualize and develop new business marketing materials and related collateral to support overall marketing efforts with the PR/Corporate Communications team.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with advertising search consultants.
  • Support VML's Business Development infrastructure and overall approach to New Business.

What you'll bring:
  • 7-10 years of experience in an integrated communications agency environment, with a focus on healthcare.
  • Prior experience leading healthcare new business pitches.
  • Dynamic leadership, team building, and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, with high energy and vibrance.
  • Prior experience developing and executing overall marketing plans in an agency environment.
  • Strong presentation and senior client facing skills.

The compensation for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package.
