About the role:
We are looking for a Director of Business Development to join our Transformation Team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to support business development initiatives and provide in-depth analysis. Additionally, you will support and eventually lead commercial negotiations.
Reporting to the VP Business Development - Transformation, you will:
- Lead preparation of financials models (Assessments)
- Develop business development solutions and strategies
- Lead conversations with external parties, prospects and internal stakeholders
- Present business cases to the Executive Team
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions
- Use financial models to establish asset and company valuations
- Assist with preparation, participate and sit-in with discussions with management and executive leadership on assigned project topics
- Take initiative to make process improvements and standardize approaches
- Work with Business Unit and Resource Unit deal team members to coordinate due diligence activities
- Query financial data from Hyperion / Essbase or similar
What you can bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
- MBA or Master's degree is an asset.
- 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in finance or valuation work.
- Proficiency in understanding and analyzing financial statements, with knowledge of various valuation methodologies.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with the ability to connect with others quickly and build trust.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills, capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, comfortable with analyzing complex problems and working on ambiguous projects.
- Enthusiastic team player with good collaboration skills.
- Experience with queries, including ESSbase, Hyperion, Oracle, or similar systems is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

- Piloter la prparation des modles financiers (valuations)
- laborer des solutions et des stratgies de dveloppement commercial
- Conduire des discussions avec des parties externes, des prospects et des parties prenantes internes
- Prsenter des tudes de cas au Comit de Direction
- Assumer le rle de Chef(fe) de projet pour les quipes affectes aux projets transformateurs
- Dvelopper et maintenir des modles financiers pour appuyer les dcisions d'investissement
- Utiliser les modles financiers pour tablir des valuations d'actifs et d'entreprises
- Contribuer la prparation et participer aux discussions avec la direction et les cadres dirigeants sur les sujets assigns
- Prendre l'initiative d'amliorer les processus et de standardiser les approches
- Collaborer avec les membres des quipes de transaction des Units d'Affaires et des Units de Ressources pour coordonner les activits de diligence raisonnable
- Interroger les donnes financires provenant de Hyperion/Essbase ou systmes similaires
Ce que vous apportez au rle :
- Diplme en commerce, finance ou ingnierie.
- Un MBA ou une matrise est un atout.
- 10 ans d'exprience, dont au moins 5 ans dans la finance ou l'valuation.
- Matrise de la comprhension et de l'analyse des tats financiers, avec une connaissance des diffrentes mthodes d'valuation.
- Solides comptences en ngociation et en affaires, avec une capacit tablir rapidement une connexion et inspirer confiance.
- Excellentes comptences organisationnelles et en documentation, capable de grer plusieurs projets avec des dlais serrs.
- Excellentes aptitudes analytiques et dcisionnelles, l'aise avec l'analyse de problmes complexes et des projets ambigus.
- Esprit d'quipe enthousiaste avec de bonnes comptences en collaboration.
- Exprience des requtes, notamment ESSbase, Hyperion, Oracle, ou systmes similaires, est un plus.
- Matrise de Microsoft Excel et PowerPoint.
- Bilinguisme (franais/anglais) puisque vous devez communiquer avec des parties prenantes travers la rgion.
- Volont de voyager jusqu' 25 % du temps.
