Position Title: Director, Business Development

Reporting to: EVP - President, Aligned Distribution

Department: AIMCOR Enterprise Insurance Group "EIG", a division of AIMCOR Group, LLC

Location: 40 Lloyd Ave Suite 103 Malvern, PA (hybrid / remote options available)

Classification: Full-time; Exempt

Summary / Job Objective:

The Director, Business Development for AIMCOR Enterprise Insurance Group "EIG" reports directly to the EVP-President, Aligned Distribution. This individual is a key member of the EIG corporate team and is responsible for identifying new institutional business-to-business client relationships and growing AIMCOR's presence within the institutional market. Responsibilities include expanding AIMCOR's presence in the institutional market through strategic partnerships, building relationships with key decision-makers, and finding new market opportunities to grow the organization's footprint and increase market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and implement a comprehensive business development strategy tailored for institutional and B2B markets.
  • Align business development strategies with the company's long-term goals and financial objectives/
  • Expand relationships with large, multi-location accounts, ensuring the achievement of strategic business objectives.
  • Network with industry leaders and decision-makers to establish a high-profile company presence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns, ensuring a cohesive approach to market penetration and brand representation
  • Work closely with senior leadership and the account management team to guide the creation of new product, service, and support offerings.
  • Drive the identification and acquisition of new leads within the institutional and B2B space.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track interactions with prospective clients and report on pipeline progress.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Engage in high-level negotiations with potential clients and partners to close deals.
  • Stay informed about industry and market trends to maintain a competitive advantage and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, regional principals, and sales leaders to identify and cultivate national relationship opportunities and implement services to strengthen key account relationships.
  • Compile and analyze business development metrics, providing reports to senior management.
  • Use data to inform future business strategies and optimize Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Recognize opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor sales metrics, such as quarterly sales results and annual forecasts, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform various other tasks, projects, and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of growing business revenues in a B2B and institutional sales environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, BI tools, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule and work extended or irregular hours as necessary.
  • This position will require 25-40% travel

  • Compensation (based on experience) -- Competitive base salary + Variable Compensation (targeted to equal or exceed 75% of base compensation yr 1).
