WECU is seeking a Director, Business Experience, to join our Business Banking department in Bellingham, WA. This position defines organizational vision and facilitates alignment on organizational strategy for the production, service and operation of WECU treasury management. Leads the Business Experience Department in driving treasury management income and business deposit growth. As a Director at WECU, understands and advocates for WECU's mission, strategy, services, and for WECU as an employer of choice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads the Business Experience team in developing new business relationships and growing existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with WECU staff to maximize member relationships via the cross-selling of treasury products and services with prospective/new and existing Members.
  • Formulate and execute the treasury management vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with WECU strategy.
  • Recommend new initiatives to grow and maintain the department to offer a full suite of products and services.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training to develop and motivate team to successful achievement of departmental goals.
  • Recruit and retain high quality department employees to meet demand and provide consistent delivery of excellent member service.
  • Plan the annual department budget consistent with assigned objectives and assign goals to BXOs commensurate with meeting or exceeding budgeted revenue streams and performance standards.
  • Prepares and executes annual sales plan to increase non-interest revenue and core deposits.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to evaluate and coach progress toward budget.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in treasury management solutions and industry trends to fluently sell, train, and ensure WECU suite of business products and services are competitive. Maintain an understanding of all products and services offered to enable effective sales and service.
  • Assist all internal partners in outside business development calls. Establish, promote, and participate in networking opportunities within the communities WECU serves to build brand awareness and source for business.
  • Prepare and present Executive-level reports to communicate the status of performance and initiatives.
  • Foster a high-performance department culture which is collaborative and demands accountability for superior results beneficial to both WECU and its members.
  • Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technological environment that may affect merchant services and treasury management functions.
  • Follows WECU's policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and may also assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field required.
  • 10+ years' work experience in treasury management, or related field.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Certification preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Treasury Management products, deposit products and services.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate and close a sales deal.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to professionally represent the organization to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to handle pressure effectively and remain adaptable in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and travel may be occasionally required.
  • Strong working knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse groups of people, managing conflict, negotiating for results, and developing working relationships with internal partners, prospects, and members.
  • Some knowledge of credit underwriting and risk

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $136,405. to $204,608. annually.
