Description:
Ensure that Tulsa Technology Center provides comprehensive career placement services and work-based experiences for students and alumni.
Essential Functions:
Customarily and regularly manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of TTC, including: directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion and termination actions, and hiring as appropriate. Plan, direct and coordinate activities of the Career Services Office to inform and counsel students and alumni regarding job opportunities and career choices. Establish and maintain contact with employers, organizations/agencies, schools, and alumni as sources for possible work-based experiences and/or employment for students and alumni. Facilitate the development of new opportunities by connecting people in business and industry with instructors to ensure students are prepared for competitive employment and success in the workplace. Maintain records of placement activities, manage job posting databases, coordinate the preparation of special reports and analyses illustrating current employment trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Confer with District Staff to maintain alignment of department services with District strategic and tactical plans and campus service requirements. Work collaboratively with campuses and applicable district departments to oversee, manage, and support campus and district presentations and events to prepare students for competitive employment and create opportunities for employers to engage with students, alumni, and instructors. Work collaboratively with campuses and applicable district departments to support Work-Based Learning and Advisory Committee activities. Prepare and administer annual department budget and monitor variances as to assure appropriate expenditures and maintain the student programs and services in support of the current and long-range organizational outcomes of the District in accordance with applicable laws and District regulations. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervisor and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation, and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.

Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred.

Hiring Range:
Dependent on experience, plus additional $9,000 annual compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.

Position Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum of seven years' experience managing and/or facilitating processes and supervising staff in the academic, advisement, and/or career placement sector.
- No certifications required, however, teaching or administrative experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.
- Valid State Issued Driver's License
- Bilingual is a plus
