Director- Center for Tobacco Independence

Summary

• The Director is responsible for managing service delivery and operational leadership of components of the Maine CDC, DHHS Statewide Tobacco Treatment Initiative to include commercial tobacco treatment services, provider education and training programming, and vendor/contractor management. The Director is responsible for all performance measures and deliverables for the Maine Quitlink suite of services, quality improvement plans, and statewide collaboration/coordination. The Director is responsible for promoting a culture of quality, care team engagement, team development, recruitment and retention.
  
  Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: May be preferred or required.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of health-related work experience. 3-5 years of program management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated success providing expertise at various managerial levels.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to model professional behavior by working as a valuable team member, respecting others, and maintaining open and honest communications.
