Definition
The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic leadership, development, and oversight of Renewal Treatment, Inc. (RTI) programs and organization-wide functions. This individual will ensure the execution of the agency's mission and philosophy in all Renewal Treatment, Inc. programs and serve as a liaison between Renewal, Inc. and contracted agencies. The Director of Clinical Services will help to lead staff in ongoing changes in clinical practices and theories. The Director of Clinical Services will oversee Renewal, Inc.'s Inpatient and Outpatient Drug and Alcohol departments, Outpatient Mental Health Department, and Group Services, ensuring that all Renewal Treatment, Inc. services are operating effectively, appropriately, and cohesively and all clients and consumers are receiving consistent quality care. The Director of Clinical Services will provide direct supervision to Drug and Alcohol Inpatient and Outpatient Clinical Supervisors, the Mental Health Outpatient Clinical Supervisor, the Group Services Clinical Supervisor, and the Registered Nurse Supervisor. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for ensuring accreditation and regulatory compliance standards are met and will help to lead staff in ongoing changes in clinical practices and theory. This individual will serve as the backup to the Vice President of Program Services.
Eligibility Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Knowledge of the criminal justice system, Substance Use Disorders, and mental health is required. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, manage resources and supervise, work effectively and efficiently with all levels of management; self-starting, motivated, and adept to changing technology; Proven skills at problem-solving, planning, conducting research; must be computer literate.
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field is required for this position. A minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a clinical environment, preferably in a Drug and Alcohol or Mental Health setting, is required. Valid PA driver's license required. Must be a Certified Addiction Counselor/Clinical Supervisor. A license in Social Work, Profession Counseling, or Addiction Counseling is preferred.
Must achieve credentialing by statewide certification body which is a member of a National Certification body or certification by another state government's substance abuse counseling certification board as an Associate Addiction Counselor (AAC), Certified Allied Addiction Counselor (CAAC), Certified Associate Addiction Counselor (CAAC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) within three years of hire date.
