Position Summary
As the Director of Collateral Management, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimizing the Collateral Management Department, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Performing Services. You will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive performance of the department, ensuring accuracy and compliance in Ginnie Mae pool certifications, and fostering strong relationships with investors and senior management at Selene.

Position Summary
As the Director of Collateral Management, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimizing the Collateral Management Department, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Performing Services. You will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive performance of the department, ensuring accuracy and compliance in Ginnie Mae pool certifications, and fostering strong relationships with investors and senior management at Selene.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Oversight:
- Supervise the movement and safeguarding of collateral documents within the department.
- Manage the obtaining, distributing, and retrieving of bailments for loan documents to/from third parties as needed.
- Oversee document preparation, including researching, preparing, obtaining signatures, recording, and tracking.
- Research issues related to titles, loan originations, properties, etc.
- Ensure the imaging of all collateral documents and servicing files to Doc Net.
- Oversee the movement of assets out of the Trusts and reconciliation of CMS data to Custodians' data files.
- Ginnie Mae Certification:
- Analyze exception reports and clear collateral exceptions.
- Monitor and track clearing items.
- Submit pools for certification/recertification via GinnieNet.
- Report progress to management and investors.
- Investor Special Requests:
- Direct the workflow from initiation through completion of special requests.
- Obtain and examine collateral files for loan sales and report results.
- Research and clear collateral exceptions, prepare AOMs, Allonges, etc. as necessary.
- Periodically update bailees for documents out to third parties.
- Coordinate the collateral audit process with various custodians and report results.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure that all securitizations and agency portfolios are serviced following all applicable Pooling and Servicing Agreements, investor/state/federal/compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
- Report the status and activity of the department to senior leadership.
- Provide support and/or direction to peers/managers within the corporation.
- Identify, implement, and manage long-term projects and process improvements to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Identify best practices to assist revenue growth and decrease expenses while maintaining the highest level of service to investors.
- Continuously seek ways to improve performance and provide innovative solutions to problems.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of collateral specific experience in the mortgage industry.
Skills:
