About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Corporate Income Tax, to join the Tailored Brands finance team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Tax, the Director of Corporate Income Tax will be responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of federal, state and international income tax, including but not limited to compliance, reporting, audit and appeal support, tax accounting and tax planning and structuring. This individual will also be a key player in supporting employee development and motivation. What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, local and international issues.
  • Ability to manage and review quarterly and annual tax provision processes, deferred tax computations, and oversee tax related financial statement disclosures and reporting requirements.
  • Manage tax compliance for all international, federal, and state income tax returns including reviewing and analyzing returns, estimates and related calculations to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide support for federal, state, and international income tax audit requests and notices.
  • Manage the execution of tax-related financial controls and coordinate reviews conducted by internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare memoranda and supporting documentation for routine and complex tax technical issues.
  • Research, analyze and recommend tax planning opportunities, including monitoring, and evaluating new tax legislation and developments that impact the Company.
  • Develop and maintain tax rate and cash tax forecasts in alignment with the Company's financial objectives.
  • Assist with the management, development, and training of in-house tax professionals, providing coaching and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper tax reporting and documentation.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors.
  • Any other duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant tax experience, including management experience within a Tax Department or CPA firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings requirements and processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 740.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word.
  • PeopleSoft, Hyperion Essbase, and HFM experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience within a SOX 404 controlling environment is a plus.
  • Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, directing, managing, and developing staff.
  • Ability to effectively analyze, organize, and prioritize workflow according to internal and external deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to take ownership and dedicate the time needed to complete departmental and company-wide objectives

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote office location.

The starting salary for this position is $141,100- $180,000 and may increase to $293,900 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 20% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
