Description:

The Director, Corporate Reporting leads the consolidation, close processes, and compliance reporting for Servco's global financial operations. This role oversees the integration of new businesses for financial reporting purposes, manages quarterly and annual audit processes, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and loan covenants. The position is responsible for leading technical accounting research, implementing financial policies, managing cash operations, and optimizing reporting processes. Additionally, this role supports the development and management of a high-performing Corporate Reporting Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Consolidation/close task assignments are updated and communicated to team members in advance of month-end close; monthly close tasks are completed timely; subsidiary financials are reviewed; and final consolidated close is completed and reviewed.
  • Successfully lead the integration of acquired businesses for financial reporting purposes, including ensuring data transfer process is set up, close review controls are implemented, close and reporting timelines are communicated, and process for obtaining and consolidating disclosure support information is in place.
  • Quarterly compliance and other external reporting are submitted timely. Prevent debt covenant violations through collaboration with the Corporate Secretary/General Counsel and business partners in Hawaii and Australia. Potential debt covenant violations are identified in advance of lender compliance due date and communicated to Finance Management.
  • Annual audit is completed on time with minimal adjustments. Any identified internal controls or business issues relevant to financial reporting noted during the audit are addressed and corrective action is taken.
  • Successfully partner with accounting teams and other departments to implement changes to accounting policies and processes necessary to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards. Financial policies and procedures of the Company are carried out in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company. Internal control failures are identified with proper investigation over the root cause of the issue and implementation of corrective action plan.
  • Cash balances are maintained at sufficient levels to meet operating needs and maximize investment returns based on the Company's investment strategy.
  • Implement new tools and processes to increase efficiency, integrate new businesses, and accelerate reporting deadlines.
  • Gaps in necessary skills are identified timely, communicated, and addressed. Personnel/performance issues are identified timely and appropriately addressed with consultation with HR.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant "CPA" license (may be expired)
  • 10 years of accounting experience, of which at least 5 years should be in public accounting with a Big 4 firm, and at least 5 years in a management capacity
  • Work experience that includes responsibility for consolidated financial statements (including foreign subsidiaries with noncontrolling shareholders), purchase accounting, and business combination integrations
  • Experience in Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Solutions ("FCCS") or Hyperion Financial Management ("HFM") preferred
  • Experience in utilizing AI to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and other accounting processes preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficient in researching and applying technical accounting guidance into practice and building the necessary processes to reduce inefficiencies
  • Ability to develop the capabilities of team members through training, knowledge sharing, and exposing them to tasks and projects that are not necessarily related to their day-to-day work
  • Ability to clearly communicate, apply sound professional judgment on various accounting-related and non-accounting-related issues
  • Experience working with Executive Management.
  • Collaboration in a leadership capacity with business leaders and colleagues from other functional areas and divisions
  • Ability to set expectations and follow through with subordinates while managing expectations up the organization and across other functions. Able to provide timely constructive feedback to team members as needed
