Primary Responsibilities
- Define data and analytics vision, strategy and associated practices.
- Lead creation (and assure the ongoing relevance) of the organization's data and analytics strategy.
- Oversee implementation and integration of technology solutions to enable the overall strategy.
- Oversee delivery models, methods and practices for creation of data products to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.
- Develop data standards and deploy automation tools to obtain and process data from different sources.
- Responsible for budget planning, execution, and leading projects with partners, vendors, and employees to ensure initiative success.
- Build partnerships with executive leadership to establish the vision for managing data as a business asset - to exploit data and analytics capabilities to maximize the value derived.
- Partner with directors and senior leadership to develop and institute an enterprise operating model for data and analytics that is consistent with the capabilities and competencies required to execute the strategy.
- Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.
- Ensure data is effectively collected, stored, curated, analyzed, and leveraged to generate actionable insights that inform decision-making, drive innovation, and create competitive advantages across the enterprise.
- Foster the creation of a data-driven culture, related competencies and data literacy across the enterprise.
- Lead these transformation efforts by developing D&A talent and maturing the capability of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (MIS)), along with at least 16 years' related experience is required. Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Executive leader with an understanding of business objectives and goals, industry domain expertise, and knowledge of D&A concepts, methods and techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Able to work as a peer with IT and business executives to facilitate their data-driven vision, strategy and operating models.
- Strong written and oral communication, deductive reasoning, and analytical trouble shooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate positive relations between IT and other business groups.
- Strong business and financial acumen, business process transformation experience, and extensive business data management experience.
