Overview of the Position:

Key role in the leadership, strategy, and sales growth of multiple end-use market segments. Responsible for the development and implementation of tools and processes to drive increased sales through productivity and improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate the company's sales functions to maintain and profitably grow existing customer accounts, as well as to identify and develop new customer and sales opportunities within the market segments.
  • Lead the segment teams by providing coaching and direction on performance evaluations, goals, hiring and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Develop and manage specific segment goals and initiatives. Provides direction and leadership in development of these strategic plans.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales process, sales team and leads process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop key supplier relationships to support development and proposals for multi-million dollar bid opportunities.
  • or suppliers in person at both internal and external business locations
  • Conduct bid and contract review approvals.
  • Accountable for monitoring and analyzing all team sales activity against defined company goals.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and motivating the sales segment team's efforts with a commitment to integrity, quality, customer service, and strategic growth.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts as required.
  • Handle Federal Contract Information (FCI) as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong database, spreadsheet, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft Office suite office products.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is preferred.


Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 12 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Minimum 3 years managing direct reports. Aerospace/Defense Industry experience required.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
