About the Role:

The Guitar Center ishiringaDirectorof eCommerce who will oversee all aspects of the companys eCommerce operations, focusing on driving revenue through The Guitar Center and Music & Arts websites. This positionis responsible fortechnology management, website optimization, and customer experience strategy.You will collaborate with,and reportto our VP of Omni-Channel. You will manage and lead a team of 25 on-and-offshore Engineersacross the United States and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • eCommerce Operations:Own and manage theGuitar CenterandMusic & Artswebsites, ensuring security, reliability, and continuous enhancement of features.
  • Technology Leadership:Oversee eCommerce platform development and ensure best practices insecurity and enterprise architecture.
  • Cost Optimization:Monitorspending, recommend cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Team & Project Management:
  • Lead an eCommerce platform operations team responsible for website promotions on theATG eCommerce platform.
  • Supporton-call development and support teamsfor issue resolution and requirements clarity.
  • Oversee planning, development, delivery, maintenance, and support of applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Serve asScrum Master,collaborating with business leaders to prioritize initiatives and align with business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work with business unit managers and IT leadership to scope and prioritize initiatives.
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and manages infrastructure initiatives related to eCommerce; including Cloud Ops, Networking, UNIX/Windows teams
  • Partner with security teams to manage security-related initiatives.
  • Align software development activities with product ownership to ensure strategic and foundational support.
  • Innovation & Future Growth:
  • Identifyand drive next-generation eCommerce, web, and digital innovation opportunities.
  • Continuously explore improvements to enhance thecustomer experienceand business performance.

Requirements

To join our band,you'llneed the following experience:

  • Deep understanding of the online retail customer experience.
  • Experienced in high-volume eCommerce or digital environments, preferably with major platforms such as Oracle ATG, SAP Hybris, Magento, Demandware, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or IBM WebSphere Commerce.
  • Experienced in leading performance teams in application and/or eCommerce performance testing.
  • 7+ years of experience managing teams within the software development lifecycle.
  • Experienced in managing a software development environment.
  • Experienced in leveraging technology for process improvement and automation.
  • Experienced with system administration and configuration.
  • Experienced in developing strategic and tactical plans to meet business objectives.
  • Education: Bachelors degree required (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Pay Rate:Base range of $184,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on background and experience.Total compensation range of $221,000 - $310,000 per year (base + bonus eligibility).
