Minimum Requirements
Master's degree with an emphasis in Special Education, Educational Leadership, Administration/Supervision or related field and five years of experience in exceptional student education including at least two years as an ESE district administrator. Experience in administration of Exceptional Student Education programs and knowledge of Federal and State laws and procedures pertaining to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Knowledge and skills in utilization of personnel management policies and procedures. Basic computer skills required (e.g., ability to use email).
Florida Certification in the field of Special Education and Educational Leadership (all levels), Administration/Supervision (grades K-12), or School Principal (all levels).

Implement the District's educational philosophy and instructional programs in accordance with policies and regulations. Manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Exceptional Student Education for students with disabilities aged 3-21 while ensuring compliance with federal and state mandates. Prepare and oversee local, state, and federal reports, maintaining accurate records for audits and monitoring. Enhance student achievement by analyzing and recommending programs and services for students with disabilities.
