Job Summary:

The Director, Events & VIP Client Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, long-term strategy for events and VIP client relations. This role will focus on driving significant revenue growth, enhancing brand prestige, and cultivating deep, strategic relationships with our most valued clients.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Event Leadership:
  • Design and execute high-profile, impactful events including product launches, private showcases, and educational workshops.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with luxury venues, specialized vendors, and industry influencers.
  • Oversee the development and management of comprehensive event budgets, ensuring optimal ROI and financial accountability, with a focus on driving sales.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitor benchmarking, with a keen eye on retailer performance and trends, to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Establish and refine KPIs for event performance, focusing on retailer engagement and sales impact, and provide insightful reporting to senior leadership.
  • Drive innovation in event experiences, leveraging creative concepts and technology to enhance retailer engagement and product understanding.

Strategic Retail Client Development & Relationship Management:
  • Formulate and execute a sophisticated retail client strategy that fosters long-term loyalty and drives significant revenue growth through our retail partners - focusing on VIP clients
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers at our top retail accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on retailer relationship strategies and market trends, providing insights into retailer challenges and opportunities.
  • Spearhead initiatives to enhance retailer satisfaction and exceed expectations, ensuring they are equipped to represent our brand effectively.
  • Organize and host exclusive retailer trips and immersive brand experiences, fostering deeper connections and building brand loyalty.

Executive Leadership & Industry Engagement:
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives and alignment with retail partner needs.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, including trade shows and jewelry exhibitions, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders and retailers.
  • Develop and present comprehensive reports and presentations to leadership and owners, highlighting retailer performance and event ROI.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness in serving our retail partners.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with events and retailer relationships, ensuring compliance and brand protection.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of senior-level experience in brand event management and VIP client relations, with a strong emphasis on working with retailers, preferably in the luxury jewelry or high-end retail industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive significant revenue growth through retail partnerships.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at retail jewelry stores.
  • Ability to partner cross functionally and with external agencies to produce events & activations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with a focus on building rapport with retail professionals.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing complex budgets and vendor relationships, with a focus on ROI for retail-focused events.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury jewelry market and consumer behavior, with a focus on retailer needs and challenges.
  • Extensive network of industry contacts and resources within the jewelry/luxury retail sector.
  • Ability to travel extensively 40% -50% (Including overnight and weekends) to meet with retailers and attend industry events.
