JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for acting as a strategic business leader of event management, overseeing the development and implementation of certain customer, partner and employee events globally. Work to generate positive publicity for the business and enhance our reputation through engaging, experiential and seamless overall event management to attract and retain customers, as well as gain positive media traction and impressions. Manage a team that owns a variety of event functions including registration and technology, marketing communications, attendee experience and ancillary events, all while ensuring the business needs and objectives are met, with return on investment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with senior leadership on the inaugural launches of new ships, internal sales (and similar) meetings and consumer and trade shoreside and shipboard events as assigned. Manage and work with internal departments to ensure seamless integration for all events.
- Drive thought leadership and improve the effectiveness of events and their impact on our objectives and attendee experiences.
- Lead, direct and manage events which attract 50 - 4,000 attendees. This includes but is not limited to effectively leading cross functional teams that support multiple stake holders, business units and initiatives, creating and maintaining comprehensive project plans, site planning and management, appropriate marcomm and development of strategies to support driving brand loyalty and attendee experience.
- Monitor and control even budgets.
- Work with and through supply chain, contract and manage all outside vendors which include: researching vendors, hiring, contract negotiations and service agreements to enhance event experiences.
- Articulate and lead the vision, brand and direction of events. Define and communicate objectives and goals to all levels of the organization.
- Stay current of latest event trends and technologies to ensure streamlined operational processes and experiences including strong knowledge of event registration systems.
- Leadership and management of the Events team, including but not limited to resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Marketing, Hospitality, Communications or related field of study
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years of experience successfully supporting customer, partner and employee corporate events on a global level.
- Previous experience managing a team.
- Travel or cruise line experience preferred.

- Must be brand focused and extremely detail oriented to create and execute unparalleled brand experiences.
- This position requires a strong team leader and coach with the ability to concept a clear program vision.
- Must be a strategic thinker who can take initiative, show creativity and drive additional value to the program.
- Must have superior organizational skills with excellent communication skills required, verbal and written, to effectively communicate with internal leadership teams.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights or weekends, according to business demands.
- Travel to domestic and/or international locations required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and bend and lift up to 30 lbs to pack and transport materials, with reasonable accommodation.
