Job Summary and Qualifications
Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Director- OSG Finance will be responsible for having detailed knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and systems, corporate policies and procedures, and oversight of all financial operations activities for OSG, in conjunction with the OSG Controller and OSG Chief Financial Officer. This includes all areas of OSG, including all Service Lines, Sarah Cannon, HCA Home Health and Hospice, Rehab, Behavioral Health, among others.
This individual will manage the oversight of the Accounting and Financial Reporting operations including monthly, quarterly and year-end processes, as well as overseeing Service Line performance. Be an integral part in team development, overseeing and managing accounting staff. Taking an active role in continual process improvement to drive operational efficiency of the department and Service Lines while maintaining and improving work quality, data integrity, the underlying control environment, etc. This person will be a key liaison with OSG operations personnel as well as other HCA Healthcare operations and accounting/finance personnel in the complex matrix organizational environment HCA Healthcare deploys.

General Summary of Duties:
- Direct the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities of OSG
- Execute the timely completion of month end close
- Oversee activities with corporate accounting including invoice review, Concur changes, and monthly intercompany billings
- Oversee and review the preparation of monthly allocations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assists in the preparation of OSG/Service Line Financial Reporting documents on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis such as financial operating and business intelligence/analytics reports.
- Assists with the completion of the annual budget for all Service Lines, Departments and tracks the progress on a periodic basis.
- Assists with the weekly and monthly financial projections and forecasting
- Be responsible for analyzing and exploring Service Line (including BHS and Post-Acute (Rehab, SNF, Home Health, Hospice)) margins, volume, payor mix, LOS, operating expenses, productivity, costing, denials, budget, and CapEx - at the guidance of each Service Line Finance Lead.
- Provides direction, leadership, and educational needs to department VPs & AVPs.
- Provides financial expertise in the planning of new services and the expansion of existing services promoting Service Line initiatives.
- Assumes a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing costs within Service Lines including participation in performance improvement activities.
- Supports the functions of the Finance Department to ensure completion of work in specified time frames according to departmental or corporate policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Expert in finance, accounting, risk assessment, operational and financial controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Ability to analyze financial data, reports, statements, and projections.
- Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or other related area required; Master's preferred.
- Seven or more years of financial/accounting experience.
- Must have held leadership positions in roles where relationship building at the executive level was a key responsibility.
- Personnel management in previous roles is preferred.
- An in-depth knowledge of the healthcare business industry preferred.
