The Ministry of Energy and Resources (ER) develops, coordinates and implements policies and programs to promote the growth and responsible development of Saskatchewan's natural resources industries. ER operates as the primary regulatory authority for the oil and gas industry and ensures competitive royalty systems, regulations and policies for all natural resource sectors. ER also plays an important role in promoting Saskatchewan's diverse resource potential to investors around the world.
The Revenue and Financial Services Branch provides executive direction and centrally managed services in the areas of financial management and administration, and other operational services that include accommodation required for the delivery of the Ministry's mandate. The Branch also administers the revenue associated with mineral right holders and non-renewable resources.
The Opportunity
The Revenue and Financial Services branch is seeking a dynamic leader with strong interpersonal, communication and financial management skills for the position of Director, Financial Planning and Reporting.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position:
Will lead the development and coordination of the ER annual budget planning which includes the preparation of the Estimates documentation. Coordinate the preparation of the monthly expense and quarterly revenue forecasts. This position also oversees the preparation of the annual tabled financial statements for the two Institutional Control Funds and the Oil and Gas Orphan Fund.

Typically, the knowledge would be obtained through the completion of a degree in commerce or business administration combined with an accounting designation (CPA) and several years of progressively responsible job-related experience.
