Job Description:
Director Human Resources
The Human Resources Director provides leadership and direction to the Human Resources department
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Exhibits knowledge of the principles and practices for human resources management and supervision in a union environment
- Exhibits knowledge of personnel law and other state and federal regulatory laws
- Maintains a thorough understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools
- Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of HR/Healthcare processes and data
- Demonstrates the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
- Demonstrates competency in managing information in a medical setting
- Demonstrates analytical ability
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations
- Exhibits excellent communication, interpersonal and confidentiality skills
- Demonstrates the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally and with physicians, staff and the public
- Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
- Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/human resource management or related field
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Extensive knowledge of the human resources field, and at least five years of human resource management experience
- Experience in a healthcare, non-profit, government and union setting preferred
