AEG Fuels is seeking an experienced Director of Income Tax to lead and manage all aspects of the company's income tax strategy and compliance. This role will be responsible for overseeing income tax reporting, planning, risk management, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and international tax laws. The Director of Income Tax will work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with AEG Fuels' strategic goals and objectives, while minimizing tax liabilities and identifying opportunities for tax savings.

Position Overview:
AEG Fuels is seeking an experienced Director of Income Tax to lead and manage all aspects of the company's income tax strategy and compliance. This role will be responsible for overseeing income tax reporting, planning, risk management, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and international tax laws. The Director of Income Tax will work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with AEG Fuels' strategic goals and objectives, while minimizing tax liabilities and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize AEG Fuels' tax position in alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation and review of the company's federal, state, and international income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee the calculation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including deferred taxes, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies to ensure compliance and address any tax-related issues.
- Monitor and analyze changes in tax legislation, assessing the impact on the company's operations and advising senior management on necessary adjustments.
- Provide guidance on tax planning, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, ensuring tax-efficient structures and transactions.
- Lead the tax team, providing mentorship and development opportunities to ensure the team's success and growth.
- Manage tax audits, working closely with external tax authorities to resolve disputes and ensure favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) to integrate tax considerations into business decisions and strategies.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and processes to ensure compliance and mitigate tax risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate tax, with at least 4 years in a leadership or director role.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international income tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in managing complex income tax issues, including tax compliance, planning, and audits.
- Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, external advisors, and cross-functional teams.
- High level of proficiency in tax software, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
