Black Hills State University is seeking applications for the position of Director of Institutional Research.

DUTIES:

The successful applicant is responsible for the collection, analysis, and presentation of data collected in support of university activities such as strategic planning, student recruitment and retention initiatives, compliance with reporting requirements for accreditation and other external and state agencies. The position reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree required.
Terminal degree in a research-oriented field preferred and knowledge of education research desirable.
3-5 years of experience required.
Must have a detailed knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and predictive analytics, including knowledge of

database management using state of the art software.
Statistical experience required.
Exceptional management, organizational, writing, and research skills.
Ability to work independently and with discretion and confidentiality.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and sometimes within a very short, restrictive timeframe.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, including the computer center staff for securing data sets.
Technology proficiency with internet, email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
