Job Summary:
The Director, Enterprise Applications is responsible for overseeing the management, development, and optimization of the organization's enterprise systems, applications, and reporting/analytics platforms. This leadership role ensures that all enterprise applications align with business goals, deliver operational efficiency, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the management, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise systems, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Oversee applications development to meet evolving business requirements and enable innovation.
- Develop and manage reporting and analytics platforms to empower data-driven insights and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize application needs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Establish and enforce best practices for enterprise application development, deployment, and support.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for enterprise applications and services.
- Analyze technology trends and recommend opportunities for improvement and modernization.
- Develop and manage the budget for enterprise applications and related initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15 years of experience in enterprise systems management, applications development, and reporting/analytics. Previous demonstrated experience accomplishing objectives through managers and their teams is required.
- Experience leading and managing change is essential.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written are required.
- Expertise in enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, or BI tools.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and regulatory compliance.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in enterprise applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in managing enterprise systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) in a manufacturing environment, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and BI (Business Intelligence) tools.
- Strong understanding of application development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and reporting/analytics platforms.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of IT professionals.
- Skills in fostering collaboration and promoting innovation within the team.

- Ability to align enterprise application strategies with broader organizational objectives.

- Ability to collaborate across departments to understand application requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Project and Vendor Management:
- Proficiency in managing application development projects and delivering them on time and within budget.
- Experience in handling vendor contracts and ensuring optimal service delivery.
- Knowledge of Emerging Technologies:
- Awareness of trends and innovations in enterprise systems, reporting, and analytics to keep the organization ahead of the curve.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in an office setting.
- Up to 25% travel is required.
