The Director, IT Finance while relying on experience and judgment, conducts complicated financial analysis projects focused on Concentra Information Technology (IT) organization. Assists the IT organization through budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes while overseeing other finance activities (IT asset management and procurement).
Responsibilities
- Oversees all IT financial functions such as operational planning, capital planning, annual plan, budgeting, reporting, and controls
- Supports and communicates with IT executive and Finance leaders on a frequent basis on multiple financial analysis, presentations, and research activities
- Leads IT in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis processes
- Supervises financial analysts through a variety of analyses including capital versus expense, ROI, resource allocations, budget preparation, etc.
- Applies principles of finance to analyze records of present and past IT operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.
- Lead and direct the work of colleagues in Asset Management and Procurement while overseeing the purchasing and procurement processes for the department
- Coordinates IT and finance leadership in determining the financial impact of strategic initiatives - both present and future
- Provides oversight of any general administrative support to the IT function / department
- Establishes, maintains, monitors, and reports expense budgets within corporate financial policies using accounting/budgeting controls, standards, guidelines, and tools
- Oversees the financial tracking of large IT projects and major initiatives
- Develops, documents, and maintains an IT annual budgeting plan and repeatable process
- Develops and maintains accurate chargeback models and reporting for IT services provide
- Develops and leads the implementation and maintenance of all IT vendor management functions
- Oversees the management of contracts and vendor relationships for the IT function
- Establishes the standards, procedures and guidelines that direct all aspects of IT vendor management, consistent with corporate procurement and financial policies and controls
- Provide leadership to programs/projects in the Finance and Accounting digital transformations partnering with business leadership
- This position is responsible for appropriate staffing, people management, performance management and overall scheduling and capacity planning
- Participate in M&A activities and understand the overall financial impact and synergies to Concentra's current IT processes and support
Qualifications
Job-Related Experience / Educaiton/Credentials
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree ; Major: Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation required
- 7-10 years' experience in budgeting, financial planning and forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Minimum five years' experience managing finance personnel.
- Direct experience driving budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Job-Related Skills/Competencies
- Direct experience driving budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Superior proficiency with finance applications including Excel and Word.
- Superior proficiency with financial applications including Hyperion and Essbase.
- Solid understanding of accounting and how planning interacts with general accounting principles.
- Proven leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
