The Director, IT Infrastructure is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and management of IT infrastructure projects and operations. This role provides leadership and oversight for key infrastructure areas, including WAN/LAN/wireless networks, collaboration and communication platforms, Office 365, telecommunications systems and contact centers, end-user and mobile devices, Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure, security tools and end-user agents, and enterprise applications. Additionally, this role oversees shared platforms such as Integration, ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or Jira, and Azure Directory Services and single sign-on solutions.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure teams, ensuring efficient service delivery and high performance across multiple locations.
• Develop and execute an IT infrastructure strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and technology roadmap.
• Build, prioritize, and communicate an IT infrastructure project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and return on investment (ROI).
• Oversee network architecture, ensuring reliable and secure WAN/LAN/wireless connectivity.
• Manage collaboration and communication platforms, including Office 365, modern workplace applications, and unified communications tools.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure operations in Azure and AWS, ensuring security, cost optimization, and performance.
• Manage telecommunications and contact center platforms, ensuring high availability and integration with business needs.
• Implement Cloud FinOps best practices to optimize cloud spend and drive cost efficiencies.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate contracts with major software licensing suppliers and infrastructure vendors.
• Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including automation, AI-supported tools, and self-service capabilities to improve employee and customer experiences.
• Oversee security-by-design and privacy-by-design approaches in infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare and regulated industry requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure leadership.
• 5+ years in a Director or equivalent role managing managers and large teams.
• Industry certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Cisco are a plus.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), network architecture (WAN/LAN/wireless), and enterprise collaboration platforms (Office 365, telecommunications, contact centers).
• Experience managing ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira), integration platforms, Azure Directory Services, and single sign-on solutions.
• Proven ability to build, prioritize, and communicate an IT infrastructure project portfolio, balancing cost, ROI, and strategic alignment.
• Experience working with large software licensing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and identifying cost savings opportunities.
• Knowledge of Cloud FinOps best practices for optimizing cloud spending and driving financial efficiency.
• Experience leading innovation initiatives that leverage AI-supported tools and applications to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Experience leading change management functions, including strong planning, communication, and execution skills.
• Experience working in larger organizations (3,000+ employees) with geographically distributed teams, ensuring infrastructure scalability and performance.
• Strong understanding of compliance, risk, and security frameworks, with experience embedding security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles.
