What this job involves - This role oversees the planning and space management of critical lab environments, spearheads strategic initiatives, and process enhancements, mentors and guides a diverse team of over 20 staff members, pioneers innovative solutions, and serves as a trusted subject matter expert and partner to clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Acts as the primary liaison for planning tactical and strategic lab projects, including moves/adds/changes (MAC), strategic initiatives, innovations, and data integrity efforts.
- Provides recommendations to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and innovative advancements across all functional areas within the service line.
- Ensures compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly and quarterly basis, collaborating with the team to generate reports on KPIs, project intake, statistics, and trends.
- Quickly identifies evolving business needs and adapts dynamically, reallocating resources as necessary to meet shifting client demands.
- Collaborates with leads from other service lines, project management, engineering, and operations to deliver comprehensive solutions for lab programs.
- Carries out additional related tasks as needed or assigned.
- Review intakes and partner with stakeholders to identify potential risks and challenges ahead of time and work with teams internally to mitigate them
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Specify preferred major: Architecture, Project Management, Space Planning
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 15+ years of related work experience in facilities management, project management, space planning, and/or corporate real estate environment preferred
- 5-7 years of Management experience
- Specialized knowledge / skills:
- Possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and refine processes, formulate conclusions and recommendations
- Experienced in managing programs of varied scope and complexity
- Proficient in Google Suite software applications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to work independently on critical projects, be able to produce high quality executive presentations quickly and concurrently manage team to deliver high quality projects
- Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills
- Assumes ownership of requests in order to ensure successful completion
- Strong attention to detail and quality
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL WORK CONDITIONS:
- Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day
- May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type.
- Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand.
- Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays.
