URUS has an exciting opportunity in our People team for a seasoned Director of Learning and Development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the strategy, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development initiatives across the URUS portfolio of companies on a global scope. This exciting role will oversee the creation of programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall organizational performance. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership, manage a team of learning professionals, and ensure the alignment of learning programs with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide learning and development strategy
  • Align learning strategies with business goals and drive organizational growth
  • Identify current and future skills gaps and design initiatives to address these needs

Program Development and Management:
  • Oversee the design and implementation of leadership development, technical skill training, and professional development programs
  • Ensure programs are innovative, scalable, impactful, accessible, and inclusive
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven improvements

Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of learning and development professionals
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team
  • Ensure the professional development of team members

Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, HR business partners, and other key stakeholders
  • Act as a strategic advisor on learning and development matters
  • Communicate the value and impact of development programs

Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage the learning and development budget
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective delivery of programs
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and partners

Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement performance management processes
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance improvement plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of performance management systems

Organizational Development:
  • Drive initiatives that support organizational culture, employee engagement, and change management
  • Lead efforts to create a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Support organizational transformation and change initiatives

Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure all learning and development programs comply with relevant regulations and standards
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in learning and development
  • Implement innovative approaches to enhance the learning experience and outcomes.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field
    • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-CP) are a plus
  • 15+ years of experience in learning and development, training, or organizational development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and leadership development
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills
  • Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training tools
