Summary:

The Director of Market Analysis is responsible for leading the development of the organization's market strategy including identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding, and deepening market penetration, and driving long-term growth.

This position is based in Phoenix Arizona, or Denver or Grand Junction Colorado. Our strategic flexibility allows for local work from home opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and objectives, focusing on growth and increased market share.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
  • Direct the overall process of market demand estimation and sales forecasting for new and existing segments, contributing to the organization's strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare quantitative market analysis of new and existing segments, penetration rates, and identify opportunities for customer retention and new customer engagement.
  • Identify products and services to sell for each segment by assessing market demand, aligning with strategic plans, and evaluating feasibility to develop, implement, and deliver services.
  • Develop an overall product pricing strategy that ensures competitive positioning and maintains profitability through collaborating with Business Development and Finance teams.
  • Inform product pricing and collaborate with Finance to set revenue and profit targets by line of business, segment, and product. Develop and maintain financial models used to determine pricing and to track revenues and profits on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Account Management, Finance, Information Technology, and others to inform the market strategy and meet internal and external needs.
  • Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead the transformation of market strategy insights into actionable business models, driving the organization's growth and profitability.
  • Drive the creation of strategic partnerships and alliances to improve market positioning, enhance product/service offerings, and expand the organization's reach.
  • Oversee the risk assessment process for strategic market initiatives, ensuring a balanced portfolio of high-reward and sustainable investments.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision making, ensuring that the organization's strategic moves are backed by robust market analysis and insights.
  • Establish a market strategy innovation framework, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly track and report on progress toward strategic goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills
  • Expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial modeling, and/or pricing
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, clear and concise communication to all audiences
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as ability to effectively interact and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet strict deadlines
  • Familiarity with health care industry, information technology and exchange concepts and terminology Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing market strategies that have resulted in business growth and increased market share.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and emerging trends.

Education/Experience

Minimum of 7+ years' experience in related field with Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, or related area. Master's Degree in a related area preferred.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a keyboard, monitor, calculator, copy / scanner machine, and printer. Frequently moves office and work-related material weighing up to 10 pounds; Occasionally moves office and work-related material weighing up to 30 pounds.
