Job Description

As the Director, Marketing and Communicaitons you will report to the Vice President, Communications to execute the communications and marketing strategy. This role will lead planning, management, deployment, editing, and promotion of unique content - both customer-centric and for our employees. You will work closely with teams across the organization including technical subject-matter experts, and business development to build and execute our content strategy (in line with our brand and positioning) that will be pushed out through our various marketing campaigns.

Job Duties
  • Knowledge of the Pinnacle brand and messaging to ensure all content is aligned
  • Develop and manage the content strategy, that includes frequency and focus for deployment across our channels, including but not limited to:
    • Sales enablement material, including product based, case studies, proposal support, and decks
    • Proper customer recognition and value marketing, including testimonials, value studies, and case studies, both written and video
    • Ensuring content is produced in the right mediums depending on channel strategy
  • Manage content calendar and own delivery on deadlines
  • Manage the execution of the strategy from writing, editing, and promotion through collaboration with different Pinnacle teams
  • Continually seek out ways to enhance and improve communication to drive better engagement and more clear messaging with audiences
  • Utilize data driven approach to drive the right content across the right channels - email, website, social media, advertising, digital events, in-person activities, including conferences, tradeshows, and other events
  • Ensure Pinnacle's existing and former employees can communicate Pinnacle's brand and key messaging and are leveraging their platforms appropriately
  • Build quality content for deployment across our channels


Accountabilities/Results/Success for this role
  • Creating content that drives the established communication strategies, supporting attraction and engagement goals


Required Qualifications/Skills/Competencies
  • 10+ years of Marketing, Public Relations and/or Communications experience managing internal and external content creation and execution
  • Experience executing change management communications and stakeholder analysis
  • Excellent written communication, storytelling, and copywriting skills
  • Ability to successfully lead teams and influence teams outside of direct reporting structure
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with teams across the organization, including company leadership, technical subject-matter-experts, and business development
  • Proven track record of being a self-starter and self-motivated
  • Highly organized and efficient


Preferred Qualifications/Software knowledge
  • Preferred experience in oil & gas industry or manufacturing setting working directly with the site's leadership team
  • Microsoft Suite - advanced knowledge
  • Adobe Suites
  • Change Management certification
