Opportunity

The Director of Marketing, H&RE will serve as the chief marketing advisor to the businesses and Executive Team. This is a global position that will have oversight to all marketing strategies and actions for all Hospitality properties.

The Director of Marketing, H&RE will develop, drive and oversee long-range strategic marketing plans for all properties while maintaining knowledge of shifting demographics and customer needs.

This position will primarily focus on developing and driving the wellness focused businesses and events will overseeing Channel Managers and Market Analysts with focused areas of food & beverage, golf, spas, Destination St. Andrews, and retail/lodging/clubs.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Proactively drives marketing to a higher level through developing long-range strategic marketing plans and participating in the Hospitality Group strategic planning and development.
  • Building and consolidation of the global Hospitality Group marketing teams, strategies and planning.
  • Bring together functional leaders to develop partnerships for strategic execution of promotions and events.
  • Anticipates risks and devises contingency plans to manage them for the overall business.
  • Advisor to business head and Executive Management.
  • Develops a clear vision for the future of the Group and partners with Executive Team for planning and execution.
  • Focuses the organization on efforts that provide significant value across the group with specific emphasis on new business developments.
  • Aligns the organization and allocates resources according to strategic priorities.
  • Evaluates all strategic marketing plans.
  • Drives the financial performance for the overall Group through partnership, long- and short-range planning, and increased social media and web awareness to brands.
  • Maintain awareness and make recommendations to Executive Team based on competition and global trends.

Financial Management
  • Create and manage annual budgets, forecasts, operating expenses.
  • Create and adhere to salaries and wages and supplies budgets.
  • Oversee the development and execution of plans to ensure round objectives are achieved.

Leadership
  • Viewed as a department leader who implements coaching strategies, forges partnerships, inspires commitment, promotes persistence, and shapes the environment.
  • Effectively "blends" coaching strategies to form a balanced, solid approach to developing associates.
  • Determines resource needs for marketing support of business.
  • Monitors trends in the industry to determine which competencies and knowledge will become increasingly important and makes sure the organization has employees with these competencies by hiring externally and training internally.
  • Determines the composition and content of the workforce that will be required to manage ongoing industry changes.
  • Identifies critical gaps in the team that may need to be filled.
  • Reviews strategic plans and understands future challenges of the team.
  • Does scenario planning with team, peers, and/or HR staff to explore different options and possible challenges
  • Keeps departmental succession-planning information current.
  • Develops accelerated action plans for high-potential people and links them into programs in the organization for high potential employees.
  • Fosters team growth through targeted individual project assignments and establishing of complimentary mentor/mentee relationships.


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field. MBA/MS required or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 or more years prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Channel Management, and/or Product Development with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.
  • Post graduate training in Marketing or Management is required.
  • Previous supervisory or coaching experience required.
  • At least 5 years' experience with P&L and/or budgeting is required.
  • Possesses knowledge of all business processes affecting marketing results.
  • Possesses knowledge of all Kohler Co. marketing processes.


Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $158,650 - $206,750. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
