POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Qcells is seeking an experienced Closings Director to lead Qcells entry into the New Homes space with EPC & financing services. You will be part of the new homes account management team, creating and developing relationships with homebuilders and dealers. You will provide leadership, guidance, and training to ensure operational integrity, aligning the team's efforts with the company's goals and objectives. As the Senior Director, you will oversee the closing team's activities, driving operational efficiency and ensuring that all solar closings are executed with precision and in full compliance with real estate lending and solar industry regulations. This role is pivotal in integrating Enfin's financing solutions into new residential projects, ensuring that our offerings align seamlessly with the needs of the modern homebuilder.
This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with homebuilders, financial institutions, and key stakeholders to integrate solar solutions and financing into the home closing process, ensuring smooth transitions for residential projects.
- Channel Development: Assist in building out the team to comprehensively address homebuilders' requirements, including streamlining the delivery of solar documentation during the home closing process.
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Provide input on market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the new homes sector as it pertains to home closings, real estate, and solar energy adoption, developing strategies to integrate Qcells' offerings into new home closing and meet market demands.
- Sales Activities: Work closely with homebuilders' sales teams and escrow companies to align solar solutions with home closing timelines, ensuring the sales process is efficient, timely, and in line with homebuilders' expectations for solar-equipped new home closings.
- Closing Documentation and Compliance Management: Collaborate with the legal team to create, review, and update closing documentation forms, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Provide training to the closing team on the use of updated forms to maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the closing process.
- Volume Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to forecast closing volumes and align solar installations with home closing schedules, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including homebuilders, lenders, and real estate agents, to ensure alignment of closing schedules and proper coordination for seamless solar documentation during the closing process.
- Account Management: Manage key accounts and relationships with homebuilders and lenders, ensuring smooth execution of the closing process, addressing issues, and optimizing the integration of solar solutions in new home closings.
- Team Leadership: Hire a team of Closing Coordinators and Managers, establish KPIs and an implementation strategy. Lead and mentor the closing team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of solar documentation in line with home closing schedules, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high standards and operational integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, communications, or other related field with a minimum of 12 years' professional work experience, including 8+ years in solar new homes closings, 8+ years in residential closings/title experience and 4+ years in a management/leadership role.
- Deep understanding of the homebuilding solar industry and its market dynamics.
- Ability to ideate, develop and execute strategic plans, in close collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, team development, people management and influencing skills at a senior level, including leading and managing large teams.
- Impeccable attention to detail as well as a detailed analytical thinker with ability to recruit and lead quantitative talent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present closing management, vision and strategy in internal and external forums.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to thrive in a high growth environment.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
