Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead the financial operations and strategy for a dynamic organization with multiple business units. Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee the accounting department, ensuring compliance, enhancing processes, and driving operational excellence. The Director will be responsible for mentoring a large team and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's goals.

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and monthly close processes.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting regulations.
Serve as a subject matter expert on complex US GAAP issues.
Collaborate with the CFO on strategic projects and financial analysis.
Develop and implement finance policies to strengthen internal controls.
Deliver timely financial statements and reports to senior management.
Manage payroll, treasury, and cash flow projections for domestic and international operations.
Lead the year-end close process and coordinate with auditors and external service providers.
Mentor and manage a large accounting team to optimize performance.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Maintain and optimize banking relationships and financial plans.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain audit-ready records.
Oversee ERP systems and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Stay updated on regulations and participate in professional development.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred).
CPA certification with active status.
Over 10 years of experience in financial leadership, including as a Director or VP.
Proven ability to manage large accounting teams.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with modern accounting systems.
Strong strategic financial planning and analysis skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desired Skills:
Experience in the professional services, software, or technology industries.
Familiarity with Sage Intacct and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

Employment Type:
Full-Time

Compensation:
Salary: 165k + 25k bonus/annual
