Position: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

POSITION CONCEPT:

In collaboration with the VP of EMSA, the Director will develop and implement student programs and outreach activities to promote the college. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the admission and recruitment of all students, and the oversight of recruitment and enrollment technologies. The Director is responsible for the hiring, evaluation and supervision of the admissions, operations and recruitment teams. The Director is responsible for ensuring adherence to all federal rules and regulations for the recruitment of international students. The Director will also be responsible for the recruitment and implementation of all specialty programs, such as the High School Program, Early Admit and International Students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the VP of EMSA to develop and execute the College's recruitment and strategic enrollment management plan for all students, including collaboration with other programs and divisions of the College, to ensure effective, efficient student recruitment and admissions/enrollment processes
  • Work closely with the VP of EMSA on the development of all procedures relating to the High School Program, Early Admit Program and international students
  • Maintain the Student Exchange Visitor Information System, as well as all other mandated reporting systems for international students, the ensure compliance
  • Work collaboratively with VP EMSA to provide relevant and streamlined email communication through CRM and provide event sessions support
  • Supervise, design and assign specific territories for all recruiters to align with the College's recruitment goals. Supervise management and scheduling of recruitment team
  • Under the direction of the VP of EMSA schedule and supervise strategic enrollment events including campus tours, info sessions (virtual & in-person), open houses (virtual & in-person), application days, financial aid days, transfer
  • days and accepted student events
  • Designs and maintains an external recruitment travel calendar to coordinate outside recruitment strategies including high school visits, fairs and community-based events. Develop programs to cultivate and maintain relationships with school
  • district personnel and other outside organizations
  • Collaborate with VP of EMSA to execute internal text campaigns to promote student event attendance and enrollment. Assist in design of marketing campaigns
  • Supervise clerical and operations staff to ensure timeliness of application processing and admissions letters, set goals of highest compliance of daily admission acceptance letter and supporting packet, and oversee importance of inquiries/prospects into CRM
  • Represent the College and assist with recruitment events and activities
  • Facilitate the use and development of promotional materials
  • Analyze, create, and develop reports relating to all aspects of recruitment as specified in the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, working closely with Institutional Research, Information Technology and using appropriate technologies
  • Manage the budget for Admissions, including coordinating with the VP of EMSA on enrollment technology budget planning
  • Supervise and provide staff development for all Admissions personnel
  • Recommend strategies for improvement relating to personnel, recruitment and technology to the VP of EMSA
  • Ensure day-to-clay effectiveness of systems and troubleshoot issues through user groups such as Banner User Group
  • Sit on technology and enrollment strategy committees to ensure projects are moved forward efficiently
  • Responsible for the implementation of technology services and the training of Admissions staff to maintain the best practices
  • Oversee and be responsible for 24-Credit program applicants and their recruitment and entry process
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of EMSA.


Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in student services, Higher Education, Business or a related field; minimum of 5-7 years marketing and recruiting experience in higher education, or an equivalent combination of education, experience. and demonstrated success. Proficiency in data analysis, marketing, staff supervision; must be a citizen of the United States or permanent resident; candidates must have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Banner, Slate and SEVIS

Starting Salary: $95,000 - $100,000
