Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages key Treasury functions including Asset Liability Management, Interest Rate Risk, and Balance Sheet Management. Responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.
Working Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, and printers.
Physical requirements: sedentary, climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
Position requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
This position requires up to 10% travel.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Interest Rate Risk: Identify, measure, monitor, and control interest rate risk in ways that align with internal strategies and objectives. This specifically includes metrics such as earnings at risk (EAR), economic value of equity (EVE), effective durations, repricing and maturity gap analysis, etc. Provide recommendations and supporting information for key stakeholders including senior management, Board of Directors, and supervisory agencies.
- Profitable Growth: Identify and effectively communicate risks and opportunities using tools/reporting of key areas of focus such as new/renewed production to promote profitable growth. Provide thought leadership on balance sheet management strategy over multiple forecast horizons and scenarios. Responsible for funds transfer pricing (FTP) assignment, updating market rates, and related discussions throughout the Bank.
- Governance: Enhance enterprise-wide governance of interest rate risk efforts through effective use of reporting, tools, and council/committee meetings. Partner with other areas to support sustainable and repeatable processes for key functions including internal forecasting, pricing, capital, and liquidity. Responsible as primary support for audits, reviews, and validations related to key functions or processes under this position's responsibility.
- Risk Management: Identify, measure, monitor, and control the risks associated with current and potential balance sheet management efforts, with a priority on interest rate risk. Includes creation and maintenance of documentation such as charters and policies that relate to key functions or processes under this position's responsibilities.
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop team with a focus on continuous improvement of individuals and processes. Serve as chair and/or key stakeholder of various governing councils and committees, with active participation and thought leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. An equivalent education experience can be substituted. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a combination of related areas including asset liability management, interest rate risk management, Treasury analytics, financial planning & analysis, and funding & liquidity.
- Required Skills:
- Thorough understanding of balance sheet management for financial institutions, with an emphasis on asset liability and rate risk management.
- Working knowledge of funds transfer pricing, credit risk ratings, funding & liquidity, and capital management.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dynamic, analytical, entrepreneurial, creative, and able to multi-task under time constraints.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders including senior management.
- Highly motivated and focused on delivering concrete results.
- Must work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and asset liability management tools such as Empyrean, BancWare, and QRM.
- Preferred Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of systems including OneStream, Alteryx, Bloomberg, S&P Global Capital IQ Market Intelligence platform, or Curinos.
- Experience with data managing and data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI; SQL is a plus.
- Experience with database management.
