We are currently looking to fill the position ofDirector of Biologics with a starting range of $160,000 - $190,000/year, dependent upon experience, education, and skills. This role iseligible for a hybrid schedule of work from home/office.

The Director of Biologics is responsible for the upstream marketing & development, downstream marketing and training of Paragon 28's Biologics portfolio. The qualified individual is also responsible for all aspects of their assigned product line lifecycle, expert product knowledge, strategic direction, and tactical support domestically and internationally. This person will collaborate effectively with various groups across the organization to including Medical Education, Product Development and Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Distribution, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Finance to oversee administration of all aspects of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for the development and delivery of P28s Biologics commercial strategies.
  • Overall responsibility for the development and delivery of P28s Biologics training curriculum.
  • Lead global product launch planning, including business objectives, product positioning, and key selling messages (including economic messages) for assigned products.
  • Organize and lead direct to consumer and direct to patient efforts for assigned products
  • Determine the market entry strategy for product ideas which may include acquisition, licensing, supply agreements, product development and work partners to bring these ideas to market.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to determine future product development projects to maintain growth in alignment with overall corporate objectives
  • Analyze and appraise the effectiveness of marketing promotions including costs and results.
  • Develop and implement strategic and annual marketing plans to include short term, mid-term, and long-term goals and objectives for the respective product family. This includes situational analysis of products, revenue forecasts, competitive analysis, and identification of key opportunities and threats.
  • Identify, and maintain a network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in foot and ankle and which corresponds and satisfies the business needs to ensure current needs and trends are captured.
  • Develop and maintain all training materials, including electronic training tools.
  • Review and continuously improve upon existing instructional materials, course agendas, lecture topics, lesson plans, handouts, or demonstrations.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to document complex medical education materials, handouts, lesson plans and multimedia presentation materials
  • Lead the development and maintenance of educational curriculum, including multi-media educational learning objects.
  • Adapt pre-designed course materials to meet instructional objectives
  • Ensure all prepared materials are based on clearly defined regulatory, compliance and internal policies and guidelines
  • Deliver onsite and remote training to sales agents and technical specialists
  • Lead internal training (e.g., regional business managers, sales managers) and external (CME courses, labs) training programs
  • Stay abreast of medical and scientific developments within the assigned therapeutic area by reviewing current literature, monitoring competitor activities, attending scientific conferences, and networking with experts
  • Assists with KOL engagement and medical education activities at conventions with marketing support
  • Collaborate with internal partner teams (i.e., Product Management, Marketing, Sales) to plan and implement surgeon educational programs on the international, national, and regional level
  • Work directly with Medical Education/Events & Tradeshows to organize onsite and offsite workshops and educational courses for surgeons, business partners and other work groups as assigned
  • Adheres to state, federal, Advamed code of conduct and industry organization policies with respect to show physician events, dinners, receptions, promotions, physician payments, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with variable hours based on training needs and the availability of customers.

Travel

Position requires approximately 25-35% overnight travel throughout the country.

Qualifications
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • BA or BS; will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and teach educational curriculum
  • Experience in orthopedics, preferably directly related foot and. This can include medical education, sales, or marketing
  • Ability to supervise tradeshow and medical lab crews for desired results
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple, detailed projects, prioritize urgent needs simultaneously, and work cross functionally
  • Must be able to operate independently with little direction Ability to engage in high level scientific and engineering conversations with surgeon audiences (domestic and international)
  • Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to be a team player
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently as required
  • High paced growth environment-need to be comfortable managing many different related roles within the organization
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
