REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PERSONNEL

SUMMARY:
The Director of Business Development is responsible to implement the sales and marketing strategy. The Director of Business Development must build market position by locating, developing, and defining, negotiating, and executing business relationships as it relates to the corporate goals and strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new markets with corporate strategies and operations; examining risks and potential; estimating market needs and goals.
Establishes continuing contacts with new prospects; coordinates contacts between staff and proposed clients.
Protects organizations' value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Serves as principal client contact when necessary.
Coordinates team activities for timely responses, submittals, presentations, and proposals.
Maintain CRM database and tracking client information.
Establish goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business.
Attend trade shows and conferences, coordinate boot activities and promotional branding items.

High level of client satisfaction with design/build process and finished product3

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent of Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
5+ years' marketing experience in design/build industry
Highly effective organizational and management skills.
Ability to motivate and lead team to success.
Understands the need for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, customer care, and the knowledge of the marketplace in which the company operates.
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
