Position Overview:

The Director of CAPP is responsible for contract compliance and overall data collection of all Inwood House Teen Choice/school-based programs. The Director will interact with all site coordinators and facilitators in order to implement the requirements of contracts including compliance, outcomes and provision of services. They will provide guidance, direction, supervision, resources and support to site coordinators and staff in order to ensure fidelity to the CAPP/MPC model. They will ensure that all program goals are reached within each program cycle. They will assist with the ongoing development of CAPP/school-based programming, partnering with other organizations and funders to ensure the sustainable growth of the school-based portfolio. The Director reports to the Division Director.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in a related field with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, and a demonstrated knowledge of contract compliance and data collection.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of DOE policies and protocols.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of Social emotional learning concepts.
  • Candidate should have a commitment to working with adolescents and their families.
  • Ability to conduct training and on-going workshops; ability to plan events.
  • Must be a strong communicator and have the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to oversee daily tasks of MSW interns in collaboration with site/task supervisors.
  • Must have knowledge of community resources and skills to link families with appropriate agencies and services.
  • Ability to establish professional boundaries and engage in professional behaviors that emulate a high level of ethics and objective/non-judgmental approaches.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to function as a team leader, providing direction and mentoring to staff assigned to projects.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of practical research implementation.
  • Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based perspective.
  • Ability to work with culturally diversified individuals.
  • Possess excellent organizational, verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; may have familiarity with data analysis software - not required) and have the ability to promote a positive and enthusiastic work environment.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License preferred and/or the ability to travel.
