The 711th Human Performance Wing, (711 HPW), School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), Aerospace Medicine Department (FE), seeks to hire a senior-level, GP-15, Physician in Dayton, Ohio. The selectee will serve as the Director of Clinical Medicine providing strategic clinical leadership and oversight of patient care and clinical operations.

The 711th Human Performance Wing, (711 HPW), School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), Aerospace Medicine Department (FE), seeks to hire a senior-level, GP-15, Physician in Dayton, Ohio. The selectee will serve as the Director of Clinical Medicine providing strategic clinical leadership and oversight of patient care and clinical operations.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the physician responsible for the overall patient care and clinical practice carried out in Department organizations and programs.
- Applies clinical and administrative skills to guide FE in providing patient care and medical consultation.
- Directs clinical quality management of FE operational clinical services.
- Provides subject-matter expertise by participating in Aerospace and Operational Medicine Department consultation, research and or educational efforts.
- Advises and assists Department leadership on strategic issues and management functions as needed, utilizing AOME knowledge and healthcare administration competencies to help identify strategic needs for planning purposes.
- Represents the Department and provides status information in meetings and discussions both within and outside USAFSAM.
- Serves as USAFSAM Chief of the Medical Staff (SGH).
- Principal executive staff advisor to the USAFSAM Commander concerning matters of provider professional conduct, quality and scope of medical care, utilization of professional resources, medical policy and planning.

Required Qualifications
- Degree, Doctor of Medicine or equivalent
- Licensure or Registration as a Physician
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
- Relocation costs or other incentives may be available and considered by the organization.
- This position is subject to the provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
- Employees may be required to work other than normal duty hours. It includes evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period.
- This position may require travel.
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, GP-14, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include 5 years of graduate training, the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training.
