The Director of Construction is responsible for overseeing all construction projects within the organization, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from planning through execution and completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Manage procurement processes, including contracts and vendor relationships, to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of goals and progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and MEP systems.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and budget management.
- In-depth understanding of construction regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
