Job Purpose: Director of Content

The Director of Content will work closely with DPL's Chief Marketing Officer, Director of Digital Marketing, content producers, sales team, and other internal and external teams to develop and execute DPL's annuity and insurance product/solution marketing strategies, messaging, and content. This role is key to ensuring continued growth in awareness of and engagement with DPL's brand and solutions for registered investment advisors (RIAs), consumers, insurance carriers, technology platforms, and other industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role will combine skills as a strategist, storyteller/writer, journey builder, and data analyst, with a passion for collaboration, shared mission, and detailed execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
  • Development and management of marketing strategies and messaging to engage key audience segments
  • Development of multi-channel campaigns that can include website, email, social media, video, podcasts, webinars, digital ads, events, and PR
  • Coordination with key partners, including carriers and technology platforms, to develop messaging and campaigns that leverage partnership value propositions and ensure strategic alignment
  • Oversight and direction of content marketing materials (digital, print, video, podcasts, presentations, etc.)
  • Management of the content marketing and production roadmap
  • Liaison with internal sales trainer and sales team to ensure marketing and sales alignment and messaging consistency
  • Oversight of advisor-facing, solution-focused events (e.g., study groups and MasterClasses)

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience marketing financial services, with experience in insurance/annuity industry preferred
  • Experience in wealth management industry a plus
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication and consensus building skills
  • A keen understanding of how to reach diverse audiences using nuanced storytelling techniques based on target, channel, and medium
  • Experience developing content-driven lead generation programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Asana a plus
